More precisely, the house is very comfortable as it consists of a large living room, a kitchen, 2 bedrooms (1 of them with attic), 1 bathroom, large verandas and a private parking. Every room includes the necessary equipment that a visitor may need and wifi. Coffee, tea, toasts, butter, honey (local product) and jam are offered. The closest beach bar is only 7min away on foot.

It is located at Diakopto in Achaia North Peloponnese just 45min drive from Patra’s port or 1h 45min from Athens or 5min from the train station. Τhe view of the sea in combination with the warm atmosphere makes you feel peaceful. More precisely, the house is very comfortable as it consists of a large living room, a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, large verandas and a private parking. Everything in the house is brand new as it has never been inhabited before and every room includes the necessary equipment that a visitor may need. The neighborhood is quiet and the beach is literally on your doorstep but it is not recommended for children.
A few meters away there is a plenty of restaurants and beach bars where you can spend your time. Furthermore, it is ideal for winter vacations because it is only 35km from Kalavryta, one of the most popular winter destinations in Greece with a ski center and 30km from Zachlorou a village where you can admire the beauties of Greece.

Villages
1. Kato Zachlorou
Kato Zachlorou is a mountainous village at an altitude of 623m on the slopes of one of the mountains that surround the Vouraikos gorge. The village is crossed by the cog railway Diakoptos-Kalavrita, at the station of which disembark those who want to visit the Monastery of the Great Cave, which is located nearby. The rich vegetation of the Vouraikos gorge combined with the sounds of the river offers an unforgettable experience. Finally, around the station, there are several taverns for those who wish to dine after their walk.
2. Plataniotissa
Plataniotissa is a mountainous village of the Municipality of Kalavrita located at an altitude of 769m and is crossed by the tributary of Kerynitis. In a green location, with plenty of cold waters, is located a small church that has been formed in the pit of a huge plane tree, which came from three plane trees that grew together, and over time came together to create the magnificent masterpiece of nature. The village got its name from this. In Plataniotissa there are three traditional taverns open all year round where guests can taste delicious traditional food.
3. Platanos
Platanos is a village located at an altitude of 194m and belongs to the Municipality of Egialia. The visitor can admire the incomparable view of the Corinthian, walk the picturesque streets but also taste local products, such as the excellent olive oil, honey, citrus fruits, and vegetables. He can also dine in one of the traditional taverns of the village.
4. Zarouchla
Zarouchla is a beautiful village which is plenty of firs and chestnuts and is crossed by the river Krathi. It is a popular destination in the mountainous Peloponnese as there are shops for coffee, food, and local products, while at the same time it is an ideal base for nature excursions. Attractions include Zarouchla Tower.
5. Planetero
The village of Planetero is located at an altitude of 697m and is built amphitheatrically around the beautiful plane tree forest. The Planetero area is within the “Natura 2000” network. The forest is enchanting consisting of centuries-old plane trees, waters of the river Aroanios that gush through the rocks, and a traditional watermill. Around the springs taverns have been built and serve mainly trout.
Sights
1. The Cave of the Lakes
The Cave of the Lakes is located at an altitude of 827m; 17km away from Kalavrita. Its 13 consecutive stagnant lakes make it special since it is a unique geological phenomenon in our country and a rare species worldwide. It is divided into 3 parts, the first one has a length of 80m and is dry. The second one has a length of 700m and its main feature is the successive lakes. The third and largest part exceeds 1km in length. Although its total length is about 1980m only 500m are utilized.
2. Tsivlou Lake
Tsivlou Lake is located at an altitude of 700m on the slopes of Helmos. It is a relatively new lake since it was added to the geophysical map of the area only in 1913 after a landslide from which the riverbed of Krathis was blocked. The name of the lake comes from the village of Tsivlos which sank partially after the landslide. The variety of species of fauna and flora that it hosts make it a popular destination for walking.
3. Doxa Lake
Lake Doxa is located at an altitude of 900m and is artificial since it was created by a dam of a total length of 225m in the riverbed of the torrent Doxa. The colorful mixed forests of Mountainous Corinth that are reflected in the waters give an incomparable natural beauty. In the center of the lake is located the church of Agios Fanourios. The area is suitable for a horse or bike ride, hiking, or even swimming in the lake.
Culture
1. Helmos-Vouraikos National Park
The Helmos-Vouraikos National Park includes 12 Protected Areas of the “Natura 2000” network. Furthermore, the area is one out of 7 UNESCO World Geoparks located in our country. It consists of gorges, caves, springs, lakes, rivers, and streams which result in the formation of many different species of fauna and flora.
2. Monastery of Great Cave
The Monastery of Great Cave is located 10km NE of the city of Kalavrita. It is built at the opening of a natural large cave of the Helmos mountain range from where it got its name and is located at an altitude of 900m. Every visitor deserves to admire the view from this eight-story building.

3. Monastery of Agia Lavra
The historic Monastery of Agia Lavra is located 4.5km W of the city of Kalavrita, at an altitude of 930m, and is known as the place of the beginning of the Greek Revolution. The area which is full of trees in combination with the aura you feel is worth a visit.
Winter hours: Daily 10:00-13:00 and 15:00-16:00.
Summer hours: Daily 10:00-13:00 & 16:00-17:00.
4. Selinounta Gorge & Barbas-Klokos Area
The area of Barba and Klokou is a protected area of the “Natura 2000” network and is crossed by the gorges in Selinounta. Remarkable of the area is the variety and uniqueness of the flora with the constant presence of rare birds. The river Selinountas is, in general, rapid and for this reason, it is ideal for rafting. Finally, in the Selinounta gorge is located the Trano Lagadi waterfall with a total development of about 350m.
